"The goal of the project is to envision a highly engaging concept, that be game, game-like, wild, weird, poetic, absurd, arty etc...
..the goal is first and foremost to create an engaging experience! And the two ‘main ingredients’ to consider is the combination of the physical gestures (input) with the screen responses it launches(response & output). "

This week was all about Radio Frequency ID. We had some people from Touch doing a workshop with us.
"Touch is a research project that investigates Near Field Communication (NFC), a technology that enables connections between mobile phones and physical things. We are developing applications and services that enable people to interact with everyday objects and situations through their mobile devices.
Touch consists of an interdisciplinary team involved in social and cultural enquiry, interaction/industrial design, rapid prototyping, software, testing and exhibitions."
I worked with Bilal Chaudhry and our RFID concept was called the chef.
A chef is a person who cooks professionally. In a professional kitchen setting, the term is used only for the one person in charge of everyone else in the kitchen, the executive chef.
Word history "Chef" (from Latin caput) is the abbreviated form of the French phrase chef de cuisine, the "chief" or "head" of a kitchen. The title chef in the culinary profession originates from the roots of haute cuisine in the 19th century. The English use of the word chef has become a term that is sometimes used to mean any professional cook, regardless of rank.

Electricity (from the Greek word ηλεκτρον, (elektron), meaning amber, and finally from New Latin ēlectricus, "amber-like") is a general term that encompasses a variety of phenomena resulting from the presence and flow of electric charge. These include many easily recognizable phenomena such as lightning and static electricity, but in addition, less familiar concepts such as the electromagnetic field and electromagnetic induction.
